This year, for the third time, the Universities of Bonn, Passau and Magdeburg, in cooperation with the Union of European Federalists, the Spinelli Group in the European Parliament and the Universities of Flensburg, Frankfurt (Oder), Innsbruck, Paderborn and Vienna, are organising the "Online Round Table on European Democracy 2023" on 20 June 2023, 6:30 - 8 pm.

This time, you will be able to discuss the topic of "The Resilience of European Democracy" with the invited representatives and experts in the EU as well as students from all over Europe. The "Online Round Table on European Democracy 2023" will address, among other things, the "other democratic deficit of the EU". How resilient is the EU to internal and external threats that seek to shake European democracy and cohesion? How can the EU defend its democratic values and norms such as the rule of law? How can it defend itself from attacks by European populists and autocrats inside and outside the EU?

Join us and contribute with your ideas and questions on the resilience of European democracy in dialogue with students, MEPs and experts in the EU! The online round table will be moderated by students who were selected in a moderator challenge at the participating universities.
