The Jean Monnet Chair in Democratic and Effective Governance (DEG) at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg focuses on how the EU can deliver policies effectively in times of growing contestation and transformation.
Led by Prof. Dr. Eva G. Heidbreder, the Chair promotes innovative teaching, supports early career researchers, and fosters dialogue between academia, public administration, and civil society—regionally and across Europe.
