Study objectives

Graduates are able to scientifically analyse, evaluate and critically question the policy-making process of the European Union from a political, sociological and economic/cultural and communicative perspective. Personal competences such as communication and interdisciplinary reflection and cooperation skills are trained through various teaching formats and applied in a group project. Graduates bring a broad spectrum of knowledge, high adaptability and a solution-oriented approach to the labour market.

On the one hand, the degree programme qualifies students scientifically for further academic training (doctorate) and, on the other hand, for the labour market.

Graduates can work in:

  • Public administrations (e.g., European ministries, agencies, EU institutions, government agencies, international organisations)
  • Private national and international companies (e.g., in lobbying, consulting)
  • Associations and interest groups (e.g., EU-wide or global NGOs, foundations, trade unions, umbrella organisations)
  • Cultural institutions (e.g., in EU-wide acquisition or implementation of projects)
  • Media
