Since October 2021, Alba has been working as a Research Assistant and Ph.D. candidate at the Chair of Multilevel Governance in Europe at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. Her research focuses on feminist theories and gender equality policies, with a particular emphasis on the Von der Leyen Commission. In her dissertation, she examines the ‘Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025’ and the implementation of intersectionality in the European Union.
Before her position at Otto von Guericke University, Alba worked as a Research Assistant at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. She holds a Master of Social Science in Leadership for Change: European and Global Politics and Gender Studies, obtained from Tampere University, as well as a BA in Sociology and Political Science from Goethe University.
