Enabling Methodolgy
Team Strength & Personal Development
The “Enabling Methodology” work package ensures sound project management and good coordination. It is based on the Enabling Methodology, which in turn forms the basis for the project strategy. The philosophy is to achieve coordination through an interactive team approach, in which team members focus on results while developing their academic and applied skills as they carry out the tasks they have set themselves. A particular target group is young scientists, as DEG is based on the principle that investing in young teachers and scientists has the most sustainable and effective impact on promoting EU teaching, EU knowledge, and future-oriented research in basic and applied research. The work package combines the planning and preparation phases with the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation phases. This establishes a systematic monitoring and evaluation strategy. In line with the methodology, this is achieved by establishing links between past achievements and future goals in an interactive team approach. Specifically, regular team meetings and an annual structured review workshop are the most important tools. Scheduling (ex-ante evaluation) as well as planning and implementation (ex-post evaluation) are task-specific and reviewed by the team. The results include regular meetings, collaboration between teams, maintenance and updating of the communication and dissemination infrastructure, and internal documentation.
